- Who do you work with?
- Businesses from a few people to a few hundred: usually ones that have outgrown spreadsheets and off-the-shelf tools, and have nobody in-house to build what comes next.
- Do you only work with businesses in Cork?
- No. I’m based in Cork and work remotely with clients anywhere in Ireland and abroad.
- How much does a project cost?
- It depends on the project, so each one is priced on its own, in writing, before any work starts. How pricing works explains the options.
- How long does a project take?
- A web app typically takes 6–10 weeks, and a data platform 4–8. Custom AI usually starts with a two-week prototype, so you can see it work on your own material before deciding on the rest. The proposal gives the timeline for your project.
- Who will I be working with?
- Me, Alex. ABB Cloud Tech is my company, and the person on the first call is the person who designs and builds the project.
- Do I get the source code?
- Yes. Every project ends with a handover: the working software, its source code, and an explanation of how it fits together. The proposal sets out in writing who owns what before work starts.
- Can you work with what we already have?
- Usually, yes. Most projects start from something that exists already: a spreadsheet, a database, an older app, the tools your team uses every day. Part of the first conversation is working out what to keep.
- What happens to our data when you build something with AI?
- The proposal says where your data will be stored and which services will process it, and nothing goes anywhere you have not agreed to. AI tools I build keep a person checking the results.
- What happens after launch?
- You can run it yourselves from the handover, or we agree an ongoing arrangement for changes and support. Either way, it is your decision, and it is made before the project ends.
