1. Who we are
ABB Cloud Tech Limited (trading as ABB Cloud Tech), a private company limited by shares registered in Ireland under number 749684, with its registered office at Cork, Ireland, is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. Reach us at alex@abbcloudtech.com.
2. What we collect
- Contact form. Your name, email address and message, so we can reply.
- Emails you send us. Whatever you choose to write, so we can reply.
- Error reports. When something breaks, a report of what failed, on which page, in which browser. It carries no account details, form contents or cookies.
- Usage measurement. The pages you visit, how you arrived, and your browser, device and approximate location (worked out from your IP address) — see §3.
This site has no accounts for visitors. We do not ask for, and do not want, special-category data.
3. Cookies and similar storage
This site sets no cookies. What it keeps in your browser’s storage, and why, is listed on the cookies page.
We measure how the site is used so we can improve it. Your answer to the banner decides how, not whether:
- If you accept, we store an identifier on your device so return visits join up.
- If you decline, we still count the visit, but nothing is stored on your device and nothing is ever linked to an account.
4. Why we are allowed to
- Steps before a contract. Answering an enquiry about working with us.
- Legitimate interests. Replying to enquiries, and keeping the site secure and working, which is what error reports and server logs are for.
- Consent. Storing a measurement identifier on your device, as described above.
5. How long we keep it
- Contact enquiries: the form emails your message to our inbox, and the website itself keeps no copy. The email stays in our mailbox for as long as we need it to deal with your enquiry. Our server log notes that a message was sent, with your address partly hidden. To stop the form being abused we count messages per network address, kept only as a one-way hash of the address and deleted within two days.
- Usage measurement: REPLACE_ME.
- Server logs: 30 days.
- Error reports: deleted by Sentry after its retention period, at most 90 days.
6. Who else sees it
These companies process data on our behalf, only on our instructions and under a data processing agreement:
- Amazon Web Services: hosting the site, the contact form, and sending email (Amazon SES). Data held in the EU (Ireland); pages are delivered through its worldwide network.
- Sentry: error reports from your browser and from our servers. Data held in the EU (Germany).
- Zoho: our mailbox, where contact-form enquiries and your emails to us arrive. Data held in the United States.
- PostHog: measuring how the site is used, as described in §3. Data held in the EU (Germany).
We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing. Where a provider handles data outside the EEA, the transfer is covered by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.
7. Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to processing based on legitimate interests, or withdraw consent. Email alex@abbcloudtech.com and we will respond within one month.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission (www.dataprotection.ie), or to the data protection authority where you live.
8. Changes
If we change what we collect or why, we will update this page and, where the change is material, ask for consent again rather than assuming the old answer still applies.
